On 10 & 11 December 2001, nine top models arrived at The Metropolitan Hotel to participate in the first ever global, live fashion shoot. The girls were dressed by stylists, had their hair, make-up and nails groomed, and were put to bed in their separate hotel rooms. SHOWstudio viewers logged on at midnight and through the night as the models’ gentle slumber and gradual dishevelment was recorded in a series of intimate stills.

Kyle and I cast close to 50 polyurethane scupltures from five silicone molds to produce our instillation which is titled From The Fields. It was a huge learning experience. The antlers were the hardest part, being the trickest to initially cast and mold.

The Field Figurines are placed all about the apartment. I took some pics to illustrate what I mean, but if you are in Toronto, you should definitely check out the show in person, there is a ton of great work, a beautiful bathtub intillation, an artificial lagoon and a room on it’s side!

SELLING YOUR ARTWORK

Prickie.com is an online button badge shop that allows artists to sell and promote their work. Each artist has their own branded shop page.

Artists can focus on what they do best - being creative - and leave the other less challenging tasks to us. We handle customer support, manufacturing, shipping, returns, etc. at no expense to the artist.

Artists can join for free, and they derive a commission off each badge sold. Also, they retain copyright ownership of their works, and we only reproduce them under permission.

To open your shop page, you will need to do the following:

Have an account with PayPal (we pay commissions into your PayPal account).
Download our Prickie Pack, which contains all you need to get up and running, including:
- artwork specs and templates
- artist agreement
Email us your .zip file containing all your button badges and logo artwork.

One design = US$3 sale price (minimum):
commission of US$0.75

Commission for 5 badges a day:
US$3.75

Commission for one year:
$3.75 x 365 days = US$1368.75
